It's 2017, now more than a half-century since the Ford Mustang first arrived on the scene. And while much has changed in the meantime, this basic truth remains: the Mustang is still one of the best sports cars to do the darn thing.

Wondering what went into the creation of the current model?

Then, click "play" on the clip below; carwow personality Mat Watson is here with more on all things Mustang:

No doubt the most rambunctious member of the Mustang family, the top-of-the-line GT sure is something else.

Motivated by a 5.0-liter V8 engine, the GT doles out a downright dizzying 435 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque.

We're also pretty impressed by its 0-to-60 mph sprint time. When had with the manual gearbox, for instance, the GT arrives there in just 4.7 seconds.
